The very essence of Shastry Memorial English School’s education system is to be deeply concerned for each student’s total development – intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual. Our school is to develop lifelong learners with an emphasis on individual thought and experiential instruction, active learning and professional faculty committed education and inculcate good core values.

Shastry has always stood for discipline and moulding character of its students to ensure their growth in conviction with the need to internalize and transmit basic human values.

Established in 1988, in the memory of the freedom fighter and our 2nd Prime Minister Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastry, the institution is serving in the moral field of education, educating future citizens of India and has been successful in achieving its goal. Since its start till date we are proud to say that we have provided quality education to thousands of students and are pursuing with our true intentions of service. Our school has aimed at helping students fulfil their potential in all aspects of their development and a keen sense of self-identity and positive self-esteem.

Awards and Achievements of Shastry School

Awards  for  the  school :

  • Best school award for the year 2011-12
  • Best Management award by Karnataka State Primary Teachers Association for the academic year 2012-13.
  • Healthy School Award for the year 2019 – 20 has been bagged by our esteemed institution.
  • E- Question Bank, a software to assist SSLC candidates to prepare for MCQ’s was developed by ourHonorable Principal Dr. Madhu Chandran for which he secured Honorary Doctorate Award in EDUCATION specialization in ‘ADMINISTRATION MANAGEMENT’, by the Academic Council of Indian Virtual University for Peace and Education.
  • Our Elixir International School (CBSE) received the Award for Excellence in Safety and Security systems at school by ELDROK INDIA K-12 Summit for the year 2019.

Major Achievements:  

  • Improvisation in Transport Facility
  • Transportation facility is provided from the year 2009 having one small 32 seaters, has been now improvised eventually by adding on the buses up to 8 in numbers.
  • The result obtained from our students for the year 2017 -18 and 2018 -19 is 93% and 95% respectively from our SSLC board.
  • Our school has contributed and been a small boon to the KODAGU FLOOD   RELIEF

PROGRESS IN OUR GROWTH:

  • Shastry Memorial PU College was established in the year 2016, having 130 students in both Science and Commerce stream. The result obtained from our students in the first year 2017 – 2018 and 2018 – 19 batch was 94% and 97% respectively from our PU board.
  • Well-equipped laboratories for Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science & Physics etc..
  • Over 33 years in the field of education “A Unit of Shastry Memorial English School & PU College”, came up in the form of “ELIXIR INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL” with CBSE syllabus.
