Art and craft ;
Drawing are beautiful pieces of art which can often construe more emotion than the final work , however often in a much more expressive or experimental form. It helps to stimulate creative thought increase observational skills and ofcourse , develop visual art work ideas in all mediums.Well experience art and craft teacher trains students by giving practice in art, painting, drawing, clay modeling and craft. Each child will get an opportunity to exhibit their talent during competitions and any academic celebrations.
Sports :
An active child shows interest in everything. They display happiness and feel good. They perform well academically too. Physical activities are must for children to make them active all throughout the day. At least an hour of physical activities per day is a must. It has a wide range of benefits for the children. It checks into their health , social kills and positive approach towards everything. Several researches have proved healthy developmental impact on students who has engaged themselves in sports. Apart from this , staying fit can be gained by being active in sports. Understanding the importance of sports and how it influences a child , shastry memorial school provides various kind of sports activities and training for sports. We always ensure a balanced environment between scholastic and co scholastic programs and education and overall achievement of an individual.
Karate:
Safety, Security and Self Defense of an individual child is the most important aspect at school. Here at Shastry we teach Karate, Weapon training and self-defense practice will be given by karate expert. This Karate is included as an academic program where children perform well and eager to show their actions.
Yoga:
Yoga is included in the regular timetable and participation of each individual child is mandatory. Easy warmups, exercise and asana will be thought by trained yoga teacher. Every year we celebrate international yoga day in our huge playground.
Dance:
The movement of the body in a rhythmic way , usually to music and within a given space for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion , releasing energy or simply taking delight in the movement itself. Students show keen interest in Dance. Dance is considered as extra-curricular activity and interested students can enroll their names for class.
Moral Values:
Moral Values are the worthy principles that one follows to distinguish the right from the wrong. The moral virtues are considered worthy in building up the character of an individual. Teachers are the source of inspiration for students. Moral values will be taught at school through moral stories, audio-video songs and moral stories with animation video. The process of learning for a child is not magical. It is important that the student has a sound base of strong moral values.
Abacus and Vedic-Math:
Abacus and Vedic Math help kids to solve mathematical arithmetic & in easy and faster way. It increases speed and accuracy. We provide books for both subjects. Abacus tool is also provided to solve the problems. After each level students are appreciated with medals and certificates. Our students will participate in the interschool Vedic Math and Abacus competition and bag many shields, medals and certificates
Annual school Events: Celebrating events and festivals in schools have become an integral part of learning and
building a strong cultural belief in a child. A close bond is built between the students as they understand each other’s different customs. The events and festivals organized here at Shastry School are often celebrated with great enthusiasm. Regular health checkups, vaccinations, deworming tablets, health awareness rally and health education will be conducted every year. This academic year our school got the best healthy school award from Address Health.

Traffic Awareness programs:
A program will be conducted every year by Mercedes Benz company creating awareness about traffic rules, regulation and safety measures on road. They organize many activities, quiz competitions and provide certificates for the best performers with gifts.
Parent Teachers Meeting:
Parent teacher meeting is a prominent and notable feature of our school curriculum. The motive is close interaction of parents with teachers with regard to the progress shown by
their wards and finding workable solutions to the problems coming in the way of development of their child. PTM will be held thrice in a year and we have made it mandatory for parents to attend without fail. We do provide a facility to parents to meet the teacher at the scheduled time after the school hours whenever required. Parents can also meet the principal for any major issues or discuss about their child academics with prior appointment. They can come and consult at the front office desk.
